Principal - Mrs Vicki Vicki relocated 'Footlights' in its new premises in Nuxley Road in 1997.
The dance school has evolved from its early years of Ballet, Tap, Modern, to now incorporate the latest dance styles of street, hip-hop, freestyle, gymnastics/acrobatics along with being able offer our performing arts to a much wider age range.
Head of Dance - Miss Vicki Vicki-anne Horsewell has been dancing since the age of two, initially taking fun ballet and tap classes, by the age of five she took her first formal ISTD exams.
At the age of eleven her future career took a major turn when she was accepted on the Senior Preparatory Course under the tutelage of Liz Burville an ISTD examiner. This was a major achievement considering that she was also a pupil at the much acclaimed 'Townley Grammar School' where she went on to gain her academic qualifications.
At the age of eighteen she was accepted at 'The Centre of Performing Arts' an ISTD teacher training college and a nationally acclaimed centre of excellence that is renowned for the standard of dancing teachers that it produces. While studying there she had the very fortunate experience of taking one to one coaching with a former teacher to 'The Royal National Ballet' as well as being taught musical theatre and jazz by choreographers of leading West End shows.
Her performance career includes, Erith Playhouse (Erith), Orchard Theatre (Dartford), Woodville Halls (Gravesend), Bob Hope Theatre (Eltham), Woodlands Theatre (Swanley), Greenwich Theatre (Greenwich), The Stag (Sevenoaks), Hazlitt Theatre (Maidstone), Lewisham Theatre (Catford), Bloomsbury (London), Cochrane Theatre (London), Her Majestys Theatre (London), The Palladium (London), Opening ceremony at the Millenium Dome and 'Europas' gymnastic squad.
