Vicki  relocated 'Footlights' in its new premises in Nuxley Road in 1997.

The dance school has evolved from its early years of Ballet, Tap and Modern, to now incorporate the latest dance styles including street, lyrical and contemporary, gymnastics/acrobatics and performing arts to a much wider age range.

Vicki has been dancing since the age of two, initially taking fun ballet and tap classes and by the age of five she took her first formal ISTD exams. At the age of eleven her future career took a major turn when she was accepted on the Senior Preparatory Course under the tutelage of

Liz Burville an ISTD examiner. This was a major achievement considering that she was also a pupil at the much acclaimed 'Townley Grammar School' where she went on to gain her academic qualifications. At the age of eighteen she was accepted at 'The Centre of Performing Arts' an ISTD teacher training college and a nationally acclaimed centre of excellence that is renowned for the standard of dance teachers that it produces.  While studying there she had the very fortunate experience of taking one to one coaching with a former teacher to 'The Royal National Ballet' as well as being taught musical theatre and jazz by choreographers of leading West End shows. Her performance career includes, Erith Playhouse (Erith), Orchard Theatre (Dartford), Woodville Halls (Gravesend),  Bob Hope Theatre (Eltham), Woodlands Theatre (Swanley), Greenwich Theatre (Greenwich), The Stag (Sevenoaks),  Hazlitt Theatre (Maidstone),  Lewisham Theatre (Catford), Bloomsbury (London), Cochrane Theatre (London), Her Majesty's Theatre (London), The Palladium (London), Opening ceremony at the Millenium Dome and 'Europas' gymnastic squad.

Miss Heather

Miss Heather trained full time at Sylvia Young Theatre School from the age of 11yrs and furthered her dance education at Bird College.

Heather has been in the performing industry for 11 years now, and in that time she has been lucky enough to be in Billy Elliot in the West end, play a supporting role for Emma Watson in the Christmas feature film ballets shoes, work for CITV on a series called 'My Phone Genie' where she played series regular Penny Hart, as well as lots of other amazing TV and stage opportunities. Miss Heather is also a freelance voice over artist and has joined us at Footlights as a regular teacher.

Miss Lucinda

Miss Lucinda trained at 'The Centre of Performing Arts' where she gained all her professional teaching qualifications. On graduation Lucinda took to the Seas and has performed for a number fo years of top cruise ships around the world.

Miss Maisie

Miss Maisie joined us at Footlights as one of our acrobatic gymnastics coaches. She is a qualified teacher with a BA (hons) Degree in Dance.

Miss Tamsin

Miss Tamsin has joined us at Footlights as one of our acrobatic coaches. She is a qualified teacher with a BA (hons) Degree in Dance.

Miss Tamsin has also completed her Pilates Instructors course.

Miss Chloe

Miss Chloe has studied dance since the age of 3, taking lessons in Ballet, Tap and Street, formerly as a pupil here at Footlights. She has performed in over 15 of our annual shows as well as taking part in displays and events such as the Big Red Bus Dance Event. 

Chloe began student teaching and has now progressed to teacher status. She graduated in 2019 from university with the highest marks possible and was also award student of the year.

Miss Dena

Miss Dena has been working as a gymnastics coach for many years now. She has most recently been coaching a boys squad in Gillingham.   . She has had a vast amount of experience working with the British Gymnastics and joins us at Footlights as a gymnastics coach.

Miss Sally

Miss Sally has had various roles within her 17yrs of experience here at Footlights, from office manager, receptionist, show preparations & costumes. Sally is our head chaperone for all performance events along with being one of our party hosts.
